Ironwood Veil — Ember Shade Candle

Woodsy • Warm • Spiced

Steady your roots. Honor your boundaries. Carry your own light.

Step into a quiet woodland cabin, where a weathered lantern glows against dark timber and the evening settles around you.

Ironwood Veil blends the warm spice of coriander with the soft, woody character of amyris. Amber adds a rich, resinous warmth, while dark musk and sandalwood create a smooth, lingering foundation. Deep and comforting, this fragrance evokes worn wood, quiet rooms, and the reassuring feeling of having somewhere to return to.

Poured in white wax, Ironwood Veil pairs rustic lantern artwork with a personal ritual of grounding, protecting your peace, and remembering your own strength.

Scent Profile

Coriander • Amyris • Amber • Dark Musk • Sandalwood

The Ritual: Smoke & Shadow

Grounding • Protection • Power

Ironwood Veil is an invitation to stand firmly in your own space. When the day has pulled your attention in too many directions, take a moment to recognize what deserves your energy and what you are ready to set down.

For this ritual, let coriander symbolize courage and purposeful action. Amyris can represent steadiness, while amber brings to mind warmth and the comfort of belonging. Dark musk symbolizes the private parts of yourself you choose to protect, and sandalwood represents strong roots and thoughtful reflection.

The lantern on the label serves as a reminder that you can move forward at your own pace. You only need enough light to see your next step.

Place your candle on a level, heat-resistant surface. Put away distractions, rest your feet on the floor, and take three slow breaths. Choose an intention—honoring a boundary, finding your footing, making a difficult decision, or giving yourself permission to rest.

Light the candle and say:

“By this light, I stand steady.
I honor my limits and trust my voice.
I choose what I carry,
and set down what is not mine.
My strength is mine to keep.”

Spend a few moments with your journal. Ask yourself: Where am I giving more than I have? Which boundary needs my attention? What is one choice I can make that supports the life I want?

Choose one practical action. Close your work for the evening, decline a commitment you cannot manage, prepare for a conversation, or make time for something that helps you feel settled.

Use this ritual during evening reflection, boundary journaling, a personal reset, or a quiet moment before taking your next step. Extinguish your candle before leaving the room or becoming sleepy.

Approximate burn times depend on proper candle care. Keep your wood wick trimmed before every burn to encourage an even, consistent burn. Wick maintenance, burn length, drafts, and room conditions can affect how quickly your candle uses wax.

Wood Wick Care & Candle Safety

Before lighting, make sure the wax is cool and firm. Trim the wood wick to approximately ⅛–¼ inch, removing loose charred pieces and keeping the wax free of debris. For candles with multiple wicks, trim and light every wick.

Hold the lighter at the base of the wood wick until it catches. During the first burn, allow the melt pool to spread toward the edges, without exceeding four hours.

Burn for 2–4 hours at a time, on a level, heat-resistant surface away from drafts. Let the candle cool completely before trimming, moving, or relighting.

Stop using the candle when approximately ½ inch of wax remains.

Never leave a burning candle unattended or burn while sleeping. Keep away from children, pets, curtains, and anything flammable. Do not touch or move a hot vessel, add water or other materials to the wax, or use the lid to extinguish the flame. Extinguish the candle if the flame becomes unusually high or produces persistent smoke.

How to Use the Ritual Melt

Remove the cap and squeeze a small amount into a warmer dish designed for wax melts. Start small and stay within your warmer’s capacity. Replace the pouch cap after use and follow the warmer manufacturer’s instructions.

When finished, switch off and unplug an electric warmer. Allow the wax and dish to cool completely. Once cool, wipe the soft wax out with a paper towel and dispose of it in the trash.

Do not add water, light the wax directly, heat the pouch, or pour wax down a drain. Keep away from children and pets. Do not ingest or apply to skin. Never touch hot wax, move a hot warmer, or leave it unattended while operating.
